This is the page with stuff that gets my creativity started. It’s the work of other creative people. It’s a combination of visuals (art, pictures and video’s) and music. All embedded. Every item contains a note why it inspires me.
Fifty People, One Question: New Orleans from Benjamin Reece on Vimeo.
I love this video. It shows: diversity, wishes, dreams and openness. Some very important stuff you need to have as a creative person.
M-Video from Reggie Watts on Vimeo.
I like this because it’s just shot in NYC street at night. Lip dubbing while listening to his iPod. I love the song, it makes me feel good. Something I need to get inspired and ‘creative’.
Pause from Aaron Sjogren on Vimeo.
The synergy of visual, music and message in this video is great. What I really like is that after the video it really got me started thinking on black and white pictures. All colors and motions removed a black and white picture is not only very basic (it enforces you to look at the shot, not environment) it inspires you to come up what the environment looked like.
REMIND US WHY WE’RE FREE from JordanDeviance on Vimeo.
Because of the visuals and message. Just like to watch it because of the shots.
Diego Stocco – Music From Sand from Diego Stocco on Vimeo.
Mainly because it shows how much you can do with a small amount of tools. Limited options stimulate creativity and therefore this guy was able to create some amazing sounds. Be sure to check out his comment on the video, he explains how he created the video.
live visuals for Katya Vanila/DeepMix Moscow by Vj Andreea from Andreea VJ on Vimeo.
Can we get it Visual!. This live performance combines the DJ spinning the tracks with images based upon the sound. Great combination. I also love the minimalistic sound.
This FEELS like just another Thursday morning. I love the sound, image and lines in this song. Ursula Rucker is coming to Watt in Rotterdam in May. I think I’m going to buy tickets to her concert.
Wow. It’s amazing how this movie shows how much determination one human being can have. Inspires me everytime I watch it. Still trying to figure out how this even is possible.
